Welcome to the 90th Humormeister's Forum edition

Since people started communicating with their thumbs on their electronic devices, there are fewer smiles, laughter, and greetings, when people pass each other.

It doesn't seem to matter where you're walking, park, shopping mall, supermarket, stores, most people are thumbing their way through the day.

It makes for a dull and very impersonal world!

Funny quotes

Most children threaten at times to run away from home. This is the only thing that keeps some parents going - Phyllis Diller

Humor/laughter quotes

As I hurtle through Space, one thought kept crossing my mind - every part of this rocket was supplied by the lowest bidder.

The 1 Minute laugh

A 100 year-old New Haven Connecticut woman blowing out her birthday candles, also blew out her dentures.

She didn't put her denture glue in that day, but she wasn't embarrassed. She said she was happy to give her family a good laugh.

Kids are funny!

Little Stephanie was in the garden filling a hole, when her neighbor peered over the fence.

Interested in what she was up to, he asked in his friendliest way, "What are you doing Stephanie?"

"My goldfish died," replied Stephanie tearfully, without looking up, "and I have just buried him."

The neighbor commented, "that's an awfully big hole for a goldfish."

Stephanie replied, "that's because he's inside the cat!"

The least costly medicine

"Did you know that pre-school children laugh or smile 400 times a day? By the time people reach the age of 37, that number drops to 3 - 5 times a day.

We don't realize that laughter has many physiological benefits. When you laugh, your breathing increases. This means more oxygen is carried by your blood. More than that, a good hearty laugh can cause a temporary increase in blood pressure, which also increases the rate of blood circulation.

A good laugh, causing a slight rise in heart and blood pressure also has immediate spin-off effects; muscles relax, blood pressure drops, the brain is likely to release endorphins.

With a good belly laugh you engage in a complete physical exercise, massaging the facial muscles, the diaphragm and abdomen.
