Happiness motivational quote of the month

"Leave the past behind and live in the now." - Author unknown

Humor/Laughter quote

"Remember, man needs laughter sometimes even more than food." - Anna Fellow Johnston

The 1 Minute Laugh

An elderly lady did her shopping and upon returning to her car found four males in the act of getting out of her car. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the at the top of her voice, "I have a gun and I know how to use it! Get out of the car you scumbags!"

The four men didn't wait for a second direction, but got out and ran like mad, whereupon the elderly lady , somewhat shaken, proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and get into the driver's seat.

She was so shaken that she could not get her key in the ignition. She tried and tried and then it dawned on her why she couldn't - this was not her car. A few minutes later she found her car five spaces parked farther down. She loaded her bags into the car and drove to the police station.

The desk sargeant to whom she told the story nearly doubled over with laughter and pointed to the other end of the counte, where four shaken-up males were reporting a 'car jacking' by an elderly woman described as white, less than 5' tall, glasses, with curly white hair, carrying a large handgun.

Humor from our richest 'Humor Resource'......our kids

Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his grandma's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.

When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away. "Johnny! Please wait until we say our prayer," said his mom.

"I don't need to," the boy replied. "Of course you do," his mom insisted. "We always say a prayer before eating at our house."

"That's at our house," Johnny replied. "But thi is grandma's house and she knows how to cook!"

Feature of the month

Humor, laughter, happiness and health

We all know that when we laugh and are happy, we feel better.

If we can laugh at everyday incidents, even if they aren't that great, it is a lot better for our overall health.

We can't force ourselves to be happy, however, we can increase happiness in our lives by becoming more active.

By adopting more activity into our daily routines we can boost our happiness. For some this may be a good walk, jogging, working out at the gym, play a favorite sport, cycle, swim, dance....

Even less active endeavors such as singing, playing an instrument, or listening to music can give our happiness level a boost.

We should learn to take ourselve lightly and our job, our responsibilities seriously.

Humor is the catalyst to feeling light, because it represents the opposite of negativity , pessimism, darkness , and depression.

Happiness gives that light feeling because it displaces the opposite feelings.

When we are happy, it is impossible to feel stressed, as the two feelings can't coexist at the same time.

Laughing out loud and even faking laughter, as practiced by thousands of 'Laughter Club' members around the world can put us in a happier mood and provide spinoff benefits towards our health.
