Attending meetings can be as boring as watching paint dry, or reading the obituaries. It doesn't have to be that way however. Meetings can be made fun, exciting, and productive by introducing some humor and creativity.

Here are some fun, unique, and innovative ways to make your next meetings more fun and productive.

• Create a 'fun' meeting environment
• Make 'fun' part of your agenda - start off with a funny story, or experience as a 'icebreaker'
• Have a 'door prize'
• Have a 'Pick your Nose' session ( place a bag with funny noses/glasses on the table and everybody picks out a funny nose and wears it )

• Use 'Fun Toys' ( Put some slinkies, yoyos, play guns, fun balls etc. on the table ) to liven up the meeting
• Use 'Fun Quotes' and 'Humor' in your agenda
• Schedule a 'Blooper of the week/month' section on the agenda
• Change the location of the meeting once in a while
• Toss a "bouquet of 'silk flowers' to anyone who comes up with a good idea - toss a 'wet sponge' to those who come up with complaints
• Have an 'award' for the 'funniest' work related experience
• Have meetings without chairs for 'shorter lasting meetings'
• Bring 'fun food,' such as fortune cookies, popcorn, liquorice etc
• For 'long meetings'- let people walk around their chairs once in a while, or holler 'Bingo' and have everybody change chairs
• Use 'fun penalties' - like standing in the corner for unwanted behavior
• End you meeting with a 'fun upbeat' work related story, or game to have people leave feeling positive and energized
