Laughter motivational quote of the month
'Th human race has only one effective weapon and that is laughter' - Mark Twain
University of Chicago studies show a great sense of humor can add an additional 8 years to your life.
The 1 Minute Laugh
A woman inserted an add in the classified section of the newspaper that read: "Husband wanted!"
The next day she received hundreds of letters. They all said the same thing: "You can have mine!"
Humor from our richest 'Humor Resource'......our kids
Out bicycling one day with my eight-year-old granddaughter Carolyn, I got a little wistful. "In ten years," i said,"You'll want to be with your friends and you won't go walking, biking, or swimming with me like you do now." Carolyn shrugged, "In ten years you'll be too old to do all those things anyway!"

feature of the month
The impact of a smile and some kind words
I was raised in a small business environment, where I was taught to smile at customers, say hello, and how are you, and upon their leaving, I look forward to seeing you again (with a smile).
These became second nature to me and I have practiced them all my life.
I went from a career in Finance, Human Resources, and Management Consulting to becoming an Author, Humorist and Humor Motivational Speaker.
Practically every day, someone who I have dealt with, will comment on my ready smile, friendly greeting, positive attitude and upbeat personality.
Apparently what I took for granted left a pleasant and lasting impression on the people I met and dealt with over the years.
We all have the ability to do this if we want to. Instead of letting the little annoyances in life, bad news from radio, TV, or newspapers get to us, we can remain positive, friendly and pleasant.
By using this type of approach to life, we not only benefit the people we deal with, but also ourselves.
A few tips you can use to adopt and maintain a happy disposition:
1. Smile - not only will people wonder what you've been up to, but more than likely they will smile back at you.
2. Show an interest and appreciation in the people you meet and deal with.
3. Listen! When others are talking you give yourself a break and quite often you gain some knowledge and information that you might have missed otherwise.
4. Share some personal life experiences with others. it is amazing how more quickly you connect with people when you do this.
5. Inject some humor into your conversation. Share a laugh! Humor is good for the soul and the body and a laugh shared is a laugh multiplied.
If you lose your zest for laughter - you lose your zest for life!
