The Humormeister's Forum, Issue #000103
June 30, 2016
Welcome to the 103rd Humormeister's Forum edition
We need to allow more humor and laughter into our lives. Humor and laughter entertain, energize, motivate, improve communication and relationships and much more....
In my favorite Jimmy Buffet song, he illustrates this best, "Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes, nothing remains the same."
"With all of our running and our cunning, if we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane." Funny quotes
Every day thousands of innocent plants are killed by vegetarians. Help end the violence - Eat bacon!!!!
Maybe it's true that life begins at fifty....but everything else starts to wear out, fall out, or spread out....Phyllis Diller
The 1 Minute laugh
A female long distance truck driver decided to get a dog for protection on the the long days and nights she was on the road. As she studied a likely candidate, the dog breeder told her, "I must warn you, she doesn't like men."
"Perfect," the woman said and promptly bought the dog.
Some time later, as she was leaving a truck stop, two men approached her in the parking lot.
She watched to see how her new bodyguard would react. It soon became apparent that the dog breeder hadn't been joking, because as the men got closer, the dog ran under the nearest truck and hid.
Kids are funny!
Our 3 year-old grandson could not break the habit of sucking his thumb. Our daughter-in-law told him that if he didn't stop sucking his thumb he would get fat.
Two weeks later, our daughter-in-law had some friends over for a visit.
Our grandson pointed to an obviously pregnant visitor and said,"Ha, ha, I know what you've been doing!"
What to do to maintain a happy lifestyle
Throw out all non-essential numbers. This includes weight and height. Let your doctor worry about them. That's why you pay him/her the big bucks.
Keep cheerful friends. The grouches suck you into their spiral of misery.
Keep learning, computer, languages, skills, crafts, whatever. Never let the brain be idle.
Enjoy the simple things! Laugh often, laugh long , laugh loud, until you gasp for breath.
The tears happen, endure, grieve and move on. Th only person who is with us our entire life is ourselves. Be alive while you are alive!
Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, books, hobbies.... Your home is your refuge.
Cherish your health. If it's good - preserve it! If it's unstable - improve it. If it's beyond what you can improve - get medical help.
Don't take guilt trips! Take a trip to the mall, to another part of the country, to a foreign country, but not where the guilt is.
And keep smiling - everyone will wonder what you're up to!
